When copying a single image from gwenview, plasma6 desktop hangs for 15-20 seconds on my brand new Lenovo Ideapad 5. This hanging is present running the Rosa Fresh 13 plasma iso too, and happens on other laptop too, on a one year old DELL Vostro (around 5 seconds hanging).
The hanging is caused by the plasma6 clipboard manager. If I disable it completely, there is no hanging.
It seems to happen only with gwenview, only with one single image, and bigger images – several MB big, and 10+ MP large – while generating it's thumbnail. And many times thumbnail is not generated, but some kind of text file??? and after it appears a +34 567 or other huge number, like I would have copied thousands of files.
If multiple images are selected from gwenview, there is no problem. And copying image from dolphin also is no problem, thumbnail is generated without any issue.
I have tried to set the plasma6 clipboard manager to manage only texts, but was not possible, the settings are not working.
Also tried the xfce clipboard manager on plasma6 desktop. It also has problems when generating one single thumbnail in the clipboard.
As a temporary solution I use clipit, as textonly clipboard manager, but I hope to find a solution to reenable plasma6 built-in clipboard manager.
