Hi and thank you for the help I found this article about restoring the rpm db helpful and it help me restore the rpm db on my laptop with a little changes..

Hi is there any solution or do I need to reinstall Linux....

Attached is an image after running rpmdrake and it also started the software management application which froze as before.

I tried to do that using "rpm --rebuilddb" and some other methods I found on the net but did not work. Is there any method you can help with...

I have an HP pavilion DV6 after the upgrade to R7 linux 4.1.22-njr-dekstop-2rosa-x86.64 the wifi is not recognised anymore and i boot in older version
i.e. R7 rosa linux 4.1.19 -njr-desktop-3rosa-x86.64 where the wifi works fine. I did uname -a the result is as below.
