Slow Repos/Updates

Hello Forum

I'm new to this OS I watched a review on Youtube on your awesome well designed system, I've been trying it in VirtualBox just to get a feel for it. But whenever I update the system, it just keeps downloading forever, I have a great internet connection, download speeds up to 35mb/s so I know it's not my connection. I live in Canada and I think that's probably the issue, since the repos come from Russia, I'm thinking it might be the server I'm connected too. I also had this issue with another O/S Linux Deepin from China, but in their system they allow you to choose the quickest mirror. I was wondering if you had this same option? Thanks.

You have a beautifully laid out system and very efficient, I would love to have this as my main system, but because of the update issues being so slow I'm having second thoughts.
