Acer Aspire laptop middle button scrolling

Acer Aspire 5315 laptop.

This model has a touchpad and directly below the touchpad are 3 buttons (left button, middle scrolling button, right button). The middle scrolling button has 4-way scrolling capability(up, down, left, right).

The issue I'm having with ROSA Desktop.Fresh 2012 KDE is the middle scrolling button doesn't scroll continuously when I hold the button up, down, left or right. It only scrolls one line at a time. For what it's worth, this same laptop was running ROSA LTS Marathon KDE and it didn't have this issue at all. Everything worked out of the box in LTS.

I'd be grateful is someone here could point me in the right direction in helping me resolve this issue? Is there something in Xorg.conf that I should be looking at? Or is it something simple as a particular driver that I need for this to work correctly? Thanks.
