Hi,
I've installed on a dedicated partition the last RC (x86_64). I would make here some remarks. Just tell me if I need to declare some of them on bugzilla.
Installer :
- No way to install Grub on a dedicated partition - We have only the possibility to target the MBR of a disk (for case we want to keep an existing bootloader, it's not possible)
- The package "xguest" proposed by installer still fails for lack of the package.
Boot :
- At startup, the boot sequence breaks at a moment and displays this message << idmap "could not find group "nogroup" >>
- As I've enabled the Nvidia driver, I see appear on every boot the logo "Nvidia"
First configuration of the repos : indications are not translated to french
Systemsettings with draktools :
- I like this idea but is it possible to better integrate them ? Currently each tool opens in a separate windows. Do you plan in the future, integration in a same window ?
- Draksec (Configure authentication for ROSA tools) : If I configure "no authentication" to adjust the time in this tool. It is always asked to enter the root authentication for time setting
- I doesn't find any tool to configure the system services ?
Printer :
- No automatic detection : message "service is unavailable" is the printer tool
I continue my tests ;)

Re: ROSA Desktop 2012 RC : some remarks
Hi,
The final release is coming tomorrow and as no one answered to the remarks, I'm not sure that all will be ok ?
Some french users tell me that "cups" does not automatically start on their 32-bit up-to-date version while for my 2 64-bit versions it's Ok.
The most serious concern is the firewall settings which does not work at all.
Can we have an answer on these points?

Will be implemented in future. Unfortunately, it was too late to add this to this release when such requests came to us.sylvainsjc писал(а): - No way to install Grub on a dedicated partition - We have only the possibility to target the MBR of a disk (for case we want to keep an existing bootloader, it's not possible)
Yes, it would be nice Unfortunately, it's not easy to implement due to tricky internal structure of drakxtools GUI. But we'll take a look at this.sylvainsjc писал(а): Systemsettings with draktools :

It seems that you are using KDE tool to configure date and time? draksec has no effect on KDE tools, this should be mentioned in Errata.sylvainsjc писал(а): - Draksec (Configure authentication for ROSA tools) : If I configure "no authentication" to adjust the time in this tool. Some of your other might be fixed in final ISOs. Feel free to file bugs on those that are not fixed.

Thanks I just tested with ISO finale: the firewall is open by default and can not be configured.
