I followed this from the blog , which had a link for how to update existing systems .

At the time, for 64-bit R3, the instructions included only, after the urpmi.addmedia --distrib command:

urpmi.addmedia main32_release http://mirror.rosalab.ru/rosa/rosa2014.1/repository/i586/main/release ...

I think I will configure this latest mount in fstab. Google seems to suggest it.

After the next reboot:

I spoke too soon.

After shutdown and cold boot a half hour later, there is no nfsd running.

I think maybe the Openelec box "stimulates" the service to start when it looks for it, so ...

A couple of reboots later, nfsd is started by itself and all my sharing scheme is working fine.

I didn't notice doing anything major. I thought I had rebooted, before, after running system-config-nfs but maybe I didn't.
Maybe Putin rdp'ed over and fixed it for me.

I've found that starting os-prober when the usb device is plugged in allows me to open the device with file manager in Device Notifier.

I suspect a software update, maybe udisks2? Recently, when I plug a usb key, external hdd, insert a video dvd or data disk and choose one of the handlers in Device Notifier, it does not work, and an error about "Could not mount device" is displayed.

Note, the files have got installed, anyway, so maybe some mysterious local glitch.

Big update, today, for systemd, udev, and KDE, hundreds of rpms. At the end, there are two rpm reported as "Invalid signature (NOT OK(could not read file))" with the option to continue updates or not:

Well, one more boot and autologin worked, prompt is back to as before.

There was a big 4.11.4 kde update yesterday. Next boot, auto-login didn't happen, however it was still configured in kde control center.

In konsole, my prompt changed from rolf@localhost to rolf@rolf-da49914cfb
