How can I edit the SimpleWelcome menu/launcher so that I may add an entry that was not generated automatically?

You install something and the launcher dont appear ?
Then restart, if the issue stays then, please note, which app ?

Right click on start button/edit?

The specific scenario I am referring to is when I download a binary that is not in the repos (e.g., Mendeley) or I need a newer package than what is in the repos (e.g., Praat). I would like to add a launcher to the SimpleWelcome menu.

Thank you. I feel stupid for not knowing that. It's the same way the kicker menu is edited.
