Request to speed up the software install system

Hello. ROSA might be the perfect desktop OS, one of the problems I encountered is that rpmdrake is very slow. It fetches metadata from the server everytime I click on a package. Ubuntu doesn't have this. When downloading the rpms for a package, it appears to me like it only uses single connections, unlike Ubuntu which uses more than one stream. I'm on a 2mbit connection, which is considered a higher mid-level connection in India, and while in Ubuntu download and update is very fast, for the same amount of data to be download in ROSA, it takes much much more time. I hope improvements are made to this, even though I'm unsure about the exact reason for this. Thank you.

Rpmdrake is very OLD crappy piece of s... oftware, really, and won't be fixed. 1) Try to use urpmi whenever is possible 2) try to install and test rosa-software-center from repos (it's not finished yet, but already working), bug reports and user experience feature proposals are welcomed.
