I confirm the issue, not only in my Fresh, but with the most of Fresh,
the thing happens especially with main/updates and contrib/updates,
but doesn't refuse affecting other xxx/updates, non-free & restricted
it seems not affecting the external repositories like, for example, MIB
I realized that when I want to install a program from MIB and it informs me about
few missing libs that should be from an official /update repo, so I need to enable...
I verified the issue on the previous Fresh and in Fresh R1:
I believe is not related to UI (Kde, Gnome, Lxde), I believe it may be caused
by a bad reading of media info datas when starts a try to update lists.cz
A supposition:
perhaps happens when bad md5sum is found, so the repo become unchecked?
I have noticed too many time, some not justified, md5sum errors on reading...
(Those are caused by curl (better using wget?), by network, or mirror errors?)
This error happens really too frequently, and if you are a newbie user, surely you may think that there are no more updates for ROSA Fresh...
Some suggestion to try (if we want to discover the culprit)?
- We can try experimenting replacing the predefined download manager to wget or to prozilla,
- We can install
the repositories in a manual way with add the option to disable md5sum check
- others???
