I'm having a problem with my nvidia GPU, the proprietary driver doesn't seem to work in 2012.1 , while it did work in Marathon.
Here is my graphic controller
I installed nvidia driver via draktools
I select GeForce 6100 to GeForce 360
it says "there is a proprietary driver, do you want to use it", say yes
Whatever the options I choose, it says,

error, no screen found

If I restart trying to use this driver, systemd seems to loop on something, and is unable to load X.

In 2012.1 you need

1. Fully updated system for latest software - we fix gl_conf problem for nvidia in the end of last week
2. Added non-free repo
3. RUN XFdrake and use only Yes-Yes-Yes... Not touch test button - it's not work anymore (we delete it in release, becouse with KMS/no-KMS mode unable test videocard without say kernel use diffirent mode in boot

For error tracking run XFdrake from CLI. See, that it say you

1. Use /etc/nvidia-current/ld.so.conf as gl_conf
2. Regenerate grub2

You system not loop - similar Alt+F2 or Alt+F3, than login as root and than manually switch alternatives

update-alternatives --config gl_conf

to use string with nvidia-current words.

Same driver isue GeForce 6100 to GeForce 360
Via KDE Config / Hardware 'prop.drive available' + ok
Instead of colored stripes the screen showed big balck and white lanes.
PC freeze
Reboot in safe mode.
XFdrake
Picked the same driver. Prop. driver NO. Choose my display.
exit
X started with nvidia a and nvidia settings available in Tools menu.
So works ok but strange way to get there.

Oops, after cold restart pc showed black screen.
Tried safe mode XFdrake for yes and no nvidia prop. driver. No luck.
Xorg.Vesa is again last resort.
No nvidia-settings on desktop.
