Will Rosa create a kind of software center such as Ubuntu Software center ?

I think it would be a wonderfull think for helping real noobs using Rosa and also nicer than the old looking drak tool

Yes, we do have plans about some kind of ROSA AppStore, I'll clear it up with devs and try to give more information.

Having a Software Center would be beneficial to ROSA in the long term. Of all the Ubuntu-based Software Center distros out there, Deepin Linux has the prettiest one. Just in case someone tries to correct my last post regarding Ubuntu, I realize ROSA is NOT an Ubuntu-based distro. I didn't mean to imply that it was in that particular sentence.

It's ok, everything is clear in your post

the only reason I am not running Rosa is that a. there is no Synaptic package manager, unless i missed it, and b. the add remove programs lacks the full rang of programs that would attract me as a user ie VLC , not found, deluge not found well you get the message I have ran Mandriva up until they had the problem of dropping connection and I have played with Rosa in Virtual but won't install till i see the repository open up, i think think they are doing a great job with the distro as opposed to Mandriva and at the moment I am running PC Linux OS , don't twist the post around I would love to run Rosa but the package choices are not there

All right. I have written for JACKAL.

We definitely need a clear and simple howto for adding repos on wiki. 50% of people keep asking similar questions and don't know about contrib. Strange but true.

A simple step-by-step after installation may be very useful indeed.

Sorry guys i had a flashback and remembered how to add them after i posted this, I am now running Rosa, didn't mean to cause a ruckus, but they should already be enabled, it would save allot of aggravation to new users, it's a very nice operating system, and i was heart broken when i heard that Mandriva was not gonna continue with the project, and god knows what is going on with them... thank you for the quick response, I'm sure it will help others if nothing else Cheers
