Make chroot from live-cd and remove broken package with urpme or some uninstall script. Step-by-step instructions for chroot -> http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1416187
If it's too difficult you can edit boot line when you in grub2 at line "/boot/vmlinuz..." add "3" without quotes after kernel name and will boot in text mode when you can remove driver.
Thanks but I forgot to mention here the rest of the story.
In this kind of situation :
- Boot the system ==> starts on a black screen
- Open the console with "CTRL-ALT-F2"
- Log root and run "XFdrake" and select "VESA" to retreive a graphical screen.
- Restart and try again to remove / reinstall NVidia drivers.
In my case, whatever I tried (with the help of akdengi) ends with a black screen.
My video card is 9600GT on Rosa desktop Fresh 64 bits
The solution for me was to install the latest version NVidia.run (319.17) directly from the NVidia site.
It seems I have some problems with my type of card and Nvidia 313.26 version and while I'm an isolated case having this problem, we can assume that this is because of my setup or my system.
