How about KDE 4.10
when is planned the kde 4.10 update?
Re: How about KDE 4.10
Backport is planned but I'm not sure if it will be 4.10.1 or 4.10.2. Some features must be implemented in ABF first to extend personal repository possibilities. Because 4.10 must be packaged to separate repository, not to Main/Updates.

Re: How about KDE 4.10
I hope that "personal repository possibilities" will include the complete repo structure with upto 4 folders (main, contrib, non-free, restricted) for each user_personal,Pulfer писал(а):Some features must be implemented in ABF first to extend personal repository possibilities. and the possibility to delete something... it's usefull we can delete old rpm from personal repo without deleting the complete user_personal project
Re: How about KDE 4.10
It's yet to be discussed. Personally I requested only possibility to add projects from any git groups without forking them (like it's done for main platforms). So I could maintain KDE4 4.10 in Cooker and build the same projects for 2012.1 to special KDE4 repo.NicCo писал(а):I hope that "personal repository possibilities" will include the complete repo structure with upto 4 folders (main, contrib, non-free, restricted) for each user_personal, and the possibility to delete something... it's usefull we can delete old rpm from personal repo without deleting the complete user_personal project
Please add feature request for extended repo structure here: https://abf.rosalinux.ru/abf/abf-ideas/issues

Re: How about KDE 4.10
This is my biggest complaint with ROSA. What everyday users of a stable distribution are actually using is the desktop. So keeping the desktop as up to date as possible is very important. If one has for instance, an older version of Fedora or openSuSE one can still have the most up to date stable version of KDE4.
On my notebook I have ROSA Fresh x86_64 (latest stable ROSA), openSuSE 12.2 (not latest stable openSuSE), and Windows 7. The most up to date desktop is openSuSE.
I would love to have more up to date KDE4 in ROSA.

I completely agree with you. It's a total shame that we still cannot backport KDE 4.10 to 2012.1 due to ABF limitations (all possible current solutions are either dangerous or too much resource-consuming).benbullard79 писал(а):This is my biggest complaint with ROSA. As for Qt5, I guess we'll package it as 5.0.2 was just released (should be stable enough now, I hope.)
