I am running ROSA Desktop Fresh R6 on my desktop machine. I desired to use Pithos, a Pandora radio client, which is unfortunately not in the repositories. I attempted to install the program from source as outlined on the page linked below.

Thank you. I feel stupid for not knowing that. It's the same way the kicker menu is edited.

The specific scenario I am referring to is when I download a binary that is not in the repos (e.g., Mendeley) or I need a newer package than what is in the repos (e.g., Praat). I would like to add a launcher to the SimpleWelcome menu.

How can I edit the SimpleWelcome menu/launcher so that I may add an entry that was not generated automatically?

I believe the problem was that I installed SpiderOak as root. I uninstalled and then reinstalled. Now things are working normally.

The login dialog never appears unless running as root. When running "SpiderOak --verbose" the splash screen appears but no additional information is output in Konsole. This must be a permissions issue but I am not certain how to resolve it.
