For some time the folders on my home server have failed to mount at boot. I have to issue "mount -a" at the CLI to force them to mount, even though nsf-utils is installed and the statement <IP of Server>:/path-to-server-mounts path-to-client-mounts nfs defaults 0 0 is in /etc/fstab.

I see new updates including guile and gnucash, but dependency issues are numerous, so many of the updates fail, including those for GnuCash. I thought it might be a problem with syncing the repository, but after waiting overnight, the issues remain. Tried switching to wget from aria2, but it did not ...

Tried to start it from the command line:

Installed gnucash, saw messsage about something needing to be compiled (never seen before). Clicked OK to compile. Nothing happened. Closed the dialog box. Tried to start gnucash, saw banner, which disappeared quickly. Nothing more happened. Any ideas?

Yes, I saw that some time ago, and I expected to have trouble after installing the proprietary driver. I now have a new installation of the 2012.1 RC, did nothing to change the default X11, and installed X11-driver-video-fix. There is no problem with disappearing text.

It is because I had the proprietary driver installed. As you said, x11-driver-video-fix works with the free radeon driver. Problem solved.

Thanks very much for the help. I installed the package, but the problem persists. I suppose that over time this issue will be resolved, but for now I encounter this issue only in ROSA and Mageia Cauldron.

Using a fully updated 2012.1 Beta, when I open a document in LO Writer, scroll down the page and then scroll up again, I find that text has disappeared -- not all of the text, but large sections, multiple lines, or whole paragraphs. If you can see "Configure Your Computer" among the Applications, open it and go to "Network Sharing."

I say "if you can see" because when I boot the RC from a USB drive, I do not see "Configure Your Computer." It should be there.
